George Peirce (a Pompton Lakes resident since 1987) is Informative Home Inspections. A natural born teacher, George has discovered that he really enjoys performing Home Inspections, especially for 1st time buyers because they are so eager to learn about the home they are buying. George grew up in a large family of 10, where everyone had to pitch in to maintain the family homes. While growing up, he learned about spackling, painting, window glazing, electrical wiring, plumbing, wood working, light construction, masonry and most everything one needs to know in order to restore and maintain a home today. As a teenager he had summer jobs working in construction and during college breaks worked as a bench carpenter in an architectural wood working company where he learned how to work directly from the architects' plans.

After graduating college in 1983 with a BFA in Photography and a Minor in Fine Wood Working from S.U.N.Y. New Paltz, George became an Architectural Photographer. He married a Jersey Girl, moved into and restored a 100 year old home where he and his wife Robbin raised their 2 daughters, Donna and Georgia. While watching his daughter and son-in-law struggle through the process of buying their first home George realized; not all home inspectors are created equally and there was plenty of room in the industry for good honest home inspectors that inform and educate their customers rather than scare and confuse them.

In 2012 George attended Inspection 21 (a NJ accredited Home Inspection School) to prepare for the NJ Home Inspector Licensing Exam. Now with a NJ Home Inspectors License, Radon License, and Termite License George is successfully adding value informing home buyers and sellers about the properties they are invested or investing in.
